Become the Miracle You Are Seeking

Posted in self improvement with tags on April 26, 2008 by akuanakgunung

In numerological terms 2007 was a nine year―a year of completion. It may have begun with a gentle push to heal and clear away the old but as the months progressed the intensity of the energy has increased many times over. From September through to the end of December many of us were pushed to our limits, causing some to wonder if we could make it and straining to find a way to hold on, to persevere through the adversity that was perhaps even causing us to question our faith.

Dear friends, good news is upon us! 2008 is a one year, which is a time for new beginnings. This transition is especially auspicious because it is the last one we will experience during the years leading up to 2012, which is why the energy downloads from the celestial realms to assist us have been so intense in the second half of the year. By the end of December, give or take two weeks, we would have completed our purging―if we have held on to the essence of Love. If you have not been able to maintain your center during these past few months do not worry for the love of Spirit never abandons you and your journey will not be in vain, there’s still time to remember the greatness of who you are and why you are here.

In order to start fresh we have to be broken down so that we can begin to see things from a new perspective, receive our new gifts, and rejoice in becoming stronger than before. Also remember that each one of us has been encoded to awaken at different times and those who reclaim their divine power help to elevate the consciousness on Earth making it easier for others to follow.

For those of you who have been reading my articles and following my journey you have witnessed come of the changes I have gone through and in sharing my heart opening experiences I have been rewarded with stories from you about how my insights have touched your own hearts in some way and created the space for change in your lives. Each one fills me with gratitude and deepens my love for Spirit―it feeds me with the strength to continue sharing despite how difficult it may be sometimes. So now I’ll carry on with more…

With each passing month I’ve wondered how much more can there be to heal after years of digging and peeling away the layers? When will I ever get to the core and live totally in the presence and power of love?

Going into December I felt confident that I would integrate the energies of the final month in the year of completion with strength and courage to face whatever would appear. Well, my friends, it was intense but somehow I managed to ride the wave even when I thought I would sink. It was one of the most turbulent months of my life and rivaled those from my teenage years when I felt lost and alone.

My emotions changed from moment to moment during the month. One minute happy and content, the next desperate and confused. Getting through each day was difficult and challenged me to live in the NOW. Some days I felt so strange in my body and mind that I could barely function, meditation was nearly impossible, and my sanity―well, all I could do was grasp on to the hope that Spirit was with me every step of the way and I would get through it.

I was being triggered every which way I turned by the people in my life and especially by my life partner. It began to look to me that we were traveling on different roads and the distance between them was growing wider. I wanted to blame him for things not being perfect, for him not being the perfect partner. Fortunately I continued to pray and meditate looking for guidance rather than lashing out, which I so desperately wanted to do. This saved us, it saved me. I turned inward and sought my divinity through facing my inner longings buried from years and lives gone by.

Two days before Christmas I woke from an amazing dream that helped me to see that what I was seeking was a divine union with both the masculine and feminine aspects of myself and that it was time to release the critical part of me that instilled guilt and shame which overshadowed my desires. I didn’t want to wake from the dreams―I wanted to bask in the love of the Divine God and Goddess.

When I did finally surrender to waking consciousness I decided to begin a love affair―with myself. I felt the presence of my twin flame within me and I began to ‘listen’ to his words of love and adoration.

That very same morning I received an email from a wonderful Lightworker at 10:44 (adding up to nine in numerology… how timely and beautiful) which described an energy being directed towards Earth assisting us in our sacred marriage of our internal twin flames, our SELF. This is a necessary process to undergo in preparing ourselves to anchor a whole new level of self-mastery in 2008 and reaching totality in 2012. Its purpose is for us to become ONE within―the union of the God and Goddess. Taking responsibility for our own happiness and following our passions.

We are being asked to become the miracle we are asking for, to become everything to ourselves that we are seeking in a life partner. Ironically during this process our physical life partners are triggering us to recognize the need for our sacred marriage of the SELF. You know what I’m talking about… what is he or she doing in your life that is driving you crazy, irritating you to no end? Look at what you are dissatisfied with in your relationship and find ways to give it to yourself, follow your desires and the dynamics in your relationship with yourself and partner will transform as you see things from a new perspective.

My dream was an instrument of change followed by confirmation with that incredible email. That day things began to shift within. I treated myself to some beautiful flowers and was filled with love for the part of me that said, “I appreciate you. I love you for the work you are doing on yourself and sharing it with others.” While the act was a small one the rewards were divinely healing. The love between my partner and I has deepened because we are undertaking to honor a sacred union within and with each other―it’s a glorious magical gift.

PLAYGROUND

In all my articles one of the key messages I’ve imparted is to follow your passion. Let’s take it further and join me in the playground. Contemplate the following questions:

1. What is the source of your life?
2. What motivates you everyday when you open your eyes?
3. Do you greet the morning with joy and passion?
4. Or do you drag yourself out of bed everyday because you have to get up and face your life?
5. Do you love what you do?
6. Do you love your life?

Your answers reveal to you whether your life is guided by love or fear and merely surviving.

If your life is not filled with love, joy, and passion then you need to make major changes. But take heart, these changes can begin with baby steps.

Often by changing our perception alone we can change our life. For example, when I began to review the amount of time I spent in December feeling miserable it astounded me because I had reached a place of living in peace and gratitude prior to then. Although my dream helped me to see how I needed to embrace my twin flame within I still had a few moments of uncertainty but Spirit guided me to snap out of it, quit whining, and get back in the game. I began to ask myself when I felt down, “What can I do to make me happy or fill me with peace?” I’d listen and then act.

Remember, how we perceive things is also important. Now, if I’m feeling strained because there’s too much noise or chaos in the house I’ll decide to take a long bath, listen to some great music, and putter in the bedroom because it gives me joy not because I need to escape. See the difference? It totally changes how I’m feeling.

It is suggested to aim for living 70% of our time in joy, inspiration, and being creatively passionate. In time that will automatically increase to 90% effortlessly. So begin asking yourself today, right now, “What can I do to make myself happy?” Then witness another, deeper shift begin to occur in your life.

FINAL THOUGHT

Love, honor, and forgive thyself. Take a moment, breathe deeply, and bask in the glory of love of your eternal divinity. New beginnings are on the horizon.

Operating Systems: File Systems

Posted in computer and internet with tags on April 26, 2008 by akuanakgunung

File systems are an integral part of any operating systems with the capacity for long term storage. There are two distinct parts of a file system, the mechanism for storing files and the directory structure into which they are organised. In mordern operating systems where it is possibe for several user to access the same files simultaneously it has also become necessary for such features as access control and different forms of file protection to be implemented.
A file is a collection of binary data. A file could represent a program, a document or in some cases part of the file system itself. In modern computing it is quite common for their to be several different storage devices attached to the same computer. A common data structure such as a file system allows the computer to access many different storage devices in the same way, for example, when you look at the contents of a hard drive or a cd you view it through the same interface even though they are completely different mediums with data mapped on them in completely different ways. Files can have very different data structures within them but can all be accessed by the same methods built into the file system. The arrangment of data within the file is then decided by the program creating it. The file systems also stores a number of attributes for the files within it.
All files have a name by which they can be accessed by the user. In most modern file systems the name consists of of three parts, its unique name, a period and an extension. For example the file ‘bob.jpg’ is uniquely identified by the first word ‘bob’, the extension jpg indicates that it is a jpeg image file. The file extension allows the operating system to decide what to do with the file if someone tries to open it. The operating system maintains a list of file extension associations. Should a user try to access ‘bob.jpg’ then it would most likely be opened in whatever the systems default image viewer is.

The system also stores the location of a file. In some file systems files can only be stored as one contigious block. This has simplifies storage and access to the file as the system then only needs to know where the file begins on the disk and how large it is. It does however lead to complications if the file is to be extended or removed as there may not be enough space available to fit the larger version of the file. Most modern file systems overcome this problem by using linked file allocation. This allows the file to be stored in any number of segments. The file system then has to store where every block of the file is and how large they are. This greatly simplifies file space allocation but is slower than contigious allocation as it is possible for the file to be spread out all over the disk. Modern oparating systems overome this flaw by providing a disk defragmenter. This is a utility that rearranges all the files on the disk so that thay are all in contigious blocks.

Information about the files protection is also integrated into the file system. Protection can range from the simple systems implemented in the FAT system of early windows where files could be marked as read-only or hidden to the more secure systems implemented in NTFS where the file system administrator can set up separate read and write access rights for different users or user groups. Although file protection adds a great deal of complexity and potential difficulties it is essential in an enviroment where many different computers or user can have access to the same drives via a network or time shared system such as raptor.

Some file systems also store data about which user created a file and at what time they created it. Although this is not essential to the running of the file system it is useful to the users of the system.

In order for a file system to function properly they need a number of defined operations for creating, opening and editing a file. Almost all file systems provide the same basic set of methods for manipulating files.

A file system must be able to create a file. To do this there must be enough space left on the drive to fit the file. There must also be no other file in the directory it is to be placed with the same name. Once the file is created the system will make a record of all the attributes noted above.

Once a file has been created we may need to edit it. This may be simply appending some data to the end of it or removing or replacing data already stored within it. When doing this the system keeps a write pointer marking where the next write oparation to the file should take place.

In order for a file to be useful it must of course be readable. To do this all you need to know the name and path of the file. From this the file system can ascertain where on the drive the file is stored. While reading a file the system keeps a read pointer. This stores which part of the drive is to be read next.

In some cases it is not possible to simply read all of the file into memory. File systems also allow you to reposition the read pointer within a file. To perform this operation the system needs to know how far into the file you want the read pointer to jump. An example of where this would be useful is a database system. When a query is made on the database it is obviously ineficient to read the whole file up to the point where the reuired data is, instead the application managing the database would determine where in the file the required bit of data is and jump to it. This operation is often known as a file seek.

File systems also allow you to delete files. To do this it needs to know the name and path of the file. To delete a file the systems simply removes its entry from the directory structure and adds all the space it previously occupied to the free space list (or whatever other free space management system it uses).

These are the most basic operations required by a file system to function properly. They are present in all modern computer file systems but the way they function may vary. For example, to perform the delete file operation in a modern file system like NTFS that has file protection built into it would be more complicated than the same operation in an older file system like FAT. Both systems would first check to see whether the file was in use before continuing, NTFS would then have to check whether the user currently deleting the file has permission to do so. Some file systems also allow multiple people to open the same file simultaneously and have to decide whether users have permission to write a file back to the disk if other users currently have it open. If two users have read and write permission to file should one be allowed to overwrite it while the other still has it open? Or if one user has read-write permission and another only has read permission on a file should the user with write permission be allowed to overwrite it if theres no chance of the other user also trying to do so?

Complete Overview of Linux

Posted in computer and internet with tags on April 26, 2008 by akuanakgunung

This article will discuss the differences between the Linux and Windows operating software’s; we discuss some of the pro’s and con’s of each system.
Let us first start out with a general overview of the Linux operating system. Linux at its most basic form is a computer kernel. The Kernel is the underlying computer code, used to communicate with hardware, and other system software, it also runs all of the basic functions of the computer.
The Linux Kernel is an operating system, which runs on a wide variety of hardware and for a variety of purposes. Linux is capable of running on devices as simple as a wrist watch, or a cell phone, but it can also run on a home computer using, for example Intel, or AMD processors, and its even capable of running on high end servers using Sun Sparc CPU’s or IBM power PC processors. Some Linux distro’s can only run one processor, while others can run many at once.

Common uses for Linux include that of a home desktop computing system, or more commonly for a server application, such as use as a web server, or mail server. You can even use Linux as a dedicated firewall to help protect other machines that are on the same network.

A programmer student named Linus Torvalds first made Linux as a variant of the Unix operating system in 1991. Linus Torvalds made Linux open source with the GNU (GPL) (General Public License), so other programmers could download the source code free of charge and alter it any way they see fit. Thousands of coders throughout the world began downloading and altering the source code of Linux, applying patches, and bug fixes, and other improvements, to make the OS better and better. Over the years Linux has gone from a simple text based clone of Unix, to a powerful operating software, with full-featured desktop environments, and unprecedented portability, and a variety of uses. Most of the original Unix code has also been gradually written out of Linux over the years.

As a result of Linux being open source software, there is no one version of Linux; instead there are many different versions or distributions of Linux, that are suited for a variety of different users and task. Some Distributions of Linux include Gentoo, and Slackware, which due to the lack of a complete graphical environment is best, suited for Linux experts, programmers, and other users that know their way around a command prompt. Distributions that lack a graphical environment are best suited for older computers lacking the processing power necessary to process graphics, or for computers performing processor intensive task, where it is desirable to have all of the system resources focused on the task at hand, rather than wasting resources by processing graphics. Other Linux distributions aim at making the computing experience as easy as possible. Distributions such as Ubuntu, or Linspire make Linux far easier to use, by offering full-featured graphical environments that help eliminate the need for a command prompt. Of course the downside of ease of use is less configurability, and wasted system resources on graphics processing. Other distributions such as Suse try to find a common ground between ease of use and configurability.

“Linux has two parts, they include the Kernel mentioned previously, and in most circumstances it will also include a graphical user interface, which runs atop the Kernel” reference #3. In most cases the user will communicate with the computer via the graphical user interface.

(ref #6) Some of the more common graphical environments that can run on Linux include the following. The KDE GUI (Graphical user interface). Matthias Ettrich developed KDE in 1996. He wanted a GUI for the Unix desktop that would make all of the applications look and feel alike. He also wanted a desktop environment for Unix that would be easier to use than the ones available at the time. KDE is a free open source project, with millions of coders working on it throughout the world, but it also has some commercial support from companies such as Novell, Troltech, and Mandriva. KDE aims to make an easy to use desktop environment without sacrificing configurability. Windows users might note that KDE has a similar look to Windows. Another popular GUI is (ref #7) GNOME. GNOME puts a heavy emphasis on simplicity, and user ability. Much like KDE GNOME is open source and is free to download. One notable feature of GNOME is the fact that it supports many different languages; GNOME supports over 100 different languages. Gnome is license under the LGPL license (lesser general public license).

The license allows applications written for GNOME to use a much wider set of licenses, including some commercial applications. The name GNOME stands for GNU Network object model environment. GNOME’s look and feel is similar to that of other desktop environments. Fluxbox is another example of a Linux GUI. With less of an emphasis on ease of use and eye candy, Fluxbox aims to be a very lightweight, and a more efficient user of system resources. The interface has only a taskbar and a menu bar, which is accessed by right clicking over the desktop. Fluxbox is most popular for use with older computers that have a limited abundance of system resources.

How and When To Make Humour at Work!

Posted in humor with tags on April 26, 2008 by akuanakgunung

A good laugh will do wonders for you as smiling and laughing lowers your stress levels, wins you a friendly reputation, and helps your usually tense co-workers and bosses to relax.
Humour on the job will do a lot for your career, but there are a number of things you need to know about laughter and humour in the place of work.
Feeling good and having humour in our lives can do wonders for our position and productivity, which means that there is definitely a place for some humour on the job. Having a smiling face will help your co-workers and supervisors feel better being around you, and you may well end up reaping rewards by laughing more in the workplace. But you need to know how to apply humour in your work environment.

Laughing has been proven to be a huge stress reliever, letting you feel better and becoming more productive. To be able to loosen up and have some fun is great, so why not take that approach to work each day and lighten up around the work place? Smiling can make your job easier, more than ever if you work in customer service or sales. But there’s certainly a right and incorrect way to use humour in the workplace.

One of the main rules with humour in the workplace is to avoid controversy when you are joking on the job. Stay well away from joking about political affairs, race and religion.

Sex is another unsafe topic because of sexual harassment in the workplace. Make sure that you stay well within the lines of decency.

Never make fun at other people within your organization, as you are trying to win friends with the people you work with, and not set against them. If you can’t help yourself, please be extremely careful.

Poking fun at the work you do or the industry you work in is a good way to earn some smiles from your co-workers and supervisors. While these types of workplace jokes may not be so funny at home or with friends, as they really don’t appreciate the pressures of your employment, the people who are around you in your job will definitely appreciate the humour about their frustrations and will be able to laugh over the situations instead of complaining.

Making jokes about the ups and downs of your trade is a safe way to add wit to the place of work. You will have the benefit of knowing precisely what your co-workers have to face each and every day, and it’s much better as it helps to let go of tensions and lower stress levels by getting them to chuckle about the situations they come across frequently.

The very best time for some humour is when you are not working, but still in the region of the people you work with, such as a coffee or lunch break. You can also make an effort to be funny on the job, but when you are working, it’s a good idea to use jokes much more thinly than you would normally do.

In general, humour in the workplace is a superb area to flex your creative muscles and give your job a little boost.

Humour in the workplace helps stress levels to drop, and your co-workers will feel better about working with you. Start gradually, and add a few more safe jokes here and there to incite a few smiles. Everyone will feel better because of your efforts.

How To Cope When You Are Surrounded By Idiots

Posted in humor with tags on April 26, 2008 by akuanakgunung

Are the idiots in your life driving you crazy? Do you often feel like you are surrounded by idiots? Have you ever wondered if YOU are an idiot? Do the idiotic C.Y.A. instructions on the packaging of most products you buy these days make you feel like the world must think you are an idiot? The following article contains lessons on stupidity. They cover things you should pretty much never do. There are many, many more lessons we could add, such as not floating face down in the septic tank or not applying your own tattoo with a wood burner and lead-based house paint, but these are normally material for a post-graduate stupidity course. You probably shouldn’t attempt to comprehend these high-level concepts until you have mastered the more basic skills.

Experience has shown that the louder you yell the principle to the idiot pupil in question the better the procedure works. (OK, a little honesty here would probably be good. The truth is, shouting the lessons probably won’t have much of an effect on the idiot, because as we all know, he/she is an idiot, but it will probably make you feel a little better).

Here are a few suggestions that could change your life if you are someone who is struggling with idiots in your life. If you are an idiot, try to find someone to read these principles to you and then apply them. If you are surrounded by idiots or if you have a loved one who has idiotic tendencies, you will probably want to teach these principles to the idiots in your life. You never know. It might just help.

  1. You should never try to lick the bottom of the blender while the blades are still turning.
  2. Never drink quarts of vinegar while eating boxes of baking soda.
  3. Never clean up nitro-glycerin or unstable nuclear waste with a vacuum cleaner.
  4. Never let friends hit you over the head with a baseball bat unless you are wearing a good helmet.
  5. Never adjust your TV antenna during a lightening storm.
  6. You shouldn’t smoke while siphoning gasoline.
  7. Don’t microwave dynamite.
  8. Never dry your hair with a blow torch.
  9. Never pick your scabs while swimming with sharks.
  10. Never hang glide during a hurricane.
